The END of the AGE came upon WHAT Generation???

While Old Testament Isreal's exodus was from the bondage of Egypt, the New Testament Isreal's exodus was from the bondage of the Old Covenant Law. The most recognizable passage that depicts this "new exodus" is found in 1 Cor. 10:1-11, Paul wrote.

Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon which the ends of the age are come.

His contextual foundation for this statement was the Old Testament exodus from Egyptian bondage.

He wrote that......

1) They passed through the sea (verse 1)
2) They are manna and drank from the rock (verse's 3-4)
3) They wandered in the wilderness (verse 5)
4) They became idolaters (verse 7)
5) They tried the Lord and were destroyed by serpents (verse 9)

This list shows us that just like the "type and shadow" of the Old Testament and their deliverence from bondage, the New Testament saints were undergoing the same exodus. The only difference was that Paul's generation was the reality to which the Old Testament examples pointed.

The exodus for those New Testament saints started at the Cross (ad30) and ended at the Parousia (ad70) exactly a 40yr period just as the Wilderness wandering of the Old Testament exodus.

The end of the Age came upon that Generation, we are in the everlasting Age (Eph. 3:21).

This Bible is amazing if we let it speak clarity in stead of ideology of men.

BULLSEYE!!!

AMAZING, HOW SOME MAKE GOD OUT TO SPEAK IN GENERALITIES, THE ONE I SERVE IS PRECISE, ACCURATE ESPECIALLY WHEN CENTERED AROUND THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EVENT, THE ((( PAROUSIA!!! )))

LET'S TAKE A JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE AND EXAMINE THIS EVENT CALLED THE PAROUSIA, AND SEE HOW PRECISE, ACCURATE GOD IS CONCERNING THE EVENT

PAROUSIA  TRANSLATES AS COMING, LETS SEE HOW THIS WORD DIFFERS FROM OTHER GREEK WORDS THAT ARE ALSO TRANSLATED AS COMING

PAROUSIA DEFINED:
PAROUSIA, MEANS ARRIVAL OR PRESENCE. IT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE GREEK WORDS THAT MEAN "TO COME AND GO." PAROUSIA IS MORE THAN A COMING. IT IS PRESENCE. THE WORD "COMING" SUGGESTS A PROCESS. THE WORD "ARRIVAL" SUGGESTS THE END OF THE PROCESS OF COMING.

NOW TO THE GREAT BOOK = GOD'S HOLY WORD THAT WE ESTEEM HIGHLY, INFALLIBLE

MATTHEW 24:3 AND AS HE SAT UPON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, THE DISCIPLES CAME UNTO HIM PRIVATELY, SAYING, TELL US, WHEN SHALL THESE THINGS BE? AND WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN OF THY [PAROUSIA] COMING, AND OF THE END OF THE AGE?

FROM MATTHEW 24 WE CAN GLEAN THAT THE PAROUSIA IS ATTACHED TO THE END OF THE AGE

MATTHEW 24:27 FOR AS THE LIGHNING COMETH OUT OF THE EAST, AND SHINETH EVEN UNTO THE WEST; SO SHALL ALSO THE [PAROUSIA] COMING OF THE SON OF MAN BE.

HERE IS THE PRECISE, ACCURATE STATEMENT JESUS TIED TO THE TIMING OF THE PAROUSIA, SEE THE VERSE BELOW.

MATTHEW 24:34 VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, TILL (((ALL))) THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.

VERY IMPORTANT TO REFER TO THE TIMING, JESUS SPOKE OF, HIS GENERATION WOULDN'T PASS TILL THE PAROUSIA WOULD TAKE PLACE

MATTHEW 24:39 AND KNEW NOT UNTIL THE FLOOD CAME, AND TOOK THEM ALL AWAY; SO SHALL ALSO THE [PAROUSIA] OF THE SON OF MAN BE.

NOT TO GO INTO GREAT DETAIL, PARTIAL PRETERIST AND A NEW GROUP I JUST HEARD OF INAUGURATED FUTURIST PLACE A BREAK IN MATTHEW 24:34 AND V.35 THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE COMPARED WITH THE FOLLOWING PORTION OF SCRIPTURE OF THE SAME ACCOUNT FOUND IN THE BOOK OF LUKE.

  • LUKE 17:23-24 FALSE CHRISTS, SON OF MAN AS LIGHTING IN HIS DAY
  • LUKE 17:26-30 THE DAYS OF THE SON OF MAN AS THE DAYS OF NOAH
  • LUKE 17:31-33 PEOPLE FLEEING FROM THE HOUSE TOPS AND FIELDS
LUKE SANDWICHES THE VERSES IN BETWEEN VERSES ALREADY FULFILLED IN MATTHEW, NOT ALLOWING THE CHAPTER BREAK OTHERS TRY TO INSERT, WHICH EXPOSES FAULTY EXEGESIS

1 COR. 15:23 BUT EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER: CHRIST THE FIRST FRUITS; AFTERWARD THEY THAT ARE CHRIST'S AT HIS [PAROUSIA] COMING. v.24 THEN COMETH THE END

THE END OF THE AGE, ONCE AGAIN TIED TO THE PAROUSIA, I HAVE A VERSE I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLIMENT THE END OF THE AGE WITH, TO POINT OUT THE TIMING INVOLVED
1 COR. 10:11 AND THEY WERE WRITTEN FOR OUR ADMONITION, UPON WHOM THE END OF THE AGE ARE COME.
  • PRETTY CLEAR THE END OF THE AGE HAPPENED ON THE 1ST CENTURY SAINTS, EXACTLY WHEN GOD SAID IT WOULD

JAMES 5:7 BE PATIENT THEREFORE, BRETHREN, UNTO THE [PAROUSIA] COMING OF THE LORD.
JAMES 5:8 BE YE ALSO PATIENT; ESTABLISH YOUR HEART: FOR THE [PAROUSIA] OF THE LORD DRAWETH NIGH.
  • NIGH = [eggizō] = NEARNESS, AT HAND, DRAW NEAR, DRAW NIGH, TO JOIN ONE THING TO ANOTHER

  • Matthew 3:2 and saying, Repent you: for the kingdom of heaven is [eggizō] at hand
  • Luke 15:1  Then drew [eggizō] near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
  • Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came [eggizō] near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

JAMES SAID THE PAROUSIA DREW NIGH, CONNECT THE DOTS IT WAS NEAR AND HAPPENED PER THE WORD OF GOD, IN THAT GENERATION

IF WE ARE SEEING CONVERTS, BABIES BORN IN THE CHURCH AND THE CONSUMMATION OF THE AGE HASN'T TAKEN PLACE YET, WHAT WOULD THAT MAKE THESE CHILDREN, THINK ABOUT IT.

IF WE ARE SENSITIVE TO THE HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT THIS STUDY SHOULD BE PROOF ENOUGH TO STAND AGAINST ANY MAN'S TESTIMONY, THESE TIME STATEMENT SHOULD HOLD WEIGHT, OR ELSE THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS WRITTEN IN A VACUUM. THE PAROUSIA IS AN EVENT THAT HAPPENED AT THE EXACT TIME THE BIBLE DECLARES IN "THAT GENERATION" AND TEACHING CONTRARY TO THAT IS PURE FALLACY.

WALK BY FAITH / NOT SIGHT!.....

IT IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPREHEND THE INFINITE WITH THE FINITE

INFINITE = HAVING NO BOUNDARIES OR LIMITS

FINITE = HAVING BOUNDS: LIMITED

THE INFINITE IS IN REFERENCE TO GOD, A ULTIMATE SUPREME BEING, THAT IS WITH OUT BEGINNING OR ENDING

THE FINITE IS IN REFERENCE TO HUMANITY, WE ARE LIMITED, FOR WE LIVE WITHIN TIME

THE BIBLE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO SECTIONS, THE NEW TESTAMENT/ OLD TESTAMENT

THE OLD IS FILLED WITH TYPES AND SHADOWS OF THE ULTIMATE REALITIES TO BE FOUND IN CHRIST

THE NEW TESTAMENT IS THE TELLING OF THE STORY OF THE LOGOS(JOHN1:1), ENTERING IN AMONG THE FINITE AND RECONCILING THE WORLD BACK TO GOD (2 COR.5:19)

JOHN 17:17 SANCTIFY THEM BY THE TRUTH ; YOUR WORD IS TRUTH

WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE WORD OF GOD IS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY, WHEN DECIPHERING TRUTH

MANY LOOK TO THE FUTURE EXPECTING A SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, DOES THE BIBLE TEACH THIS?

LET'S LOOK TO THE WORD OF GOD, FOR PRECISE ACCURATE TEACHINGS

SECOND COMING COMES FROM THE GREEK WORD{PAROUSIA} MEANING "PRESENCE"

LET'S LOOK TO THE FAMOUS CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE THAT THE {PAROUSIA} IS MENTIONED

MATTHEW 24:1 AND JESUS WENT OUT, AND DEPARTED FROM THE TEMPLE: AND HIS DISCIPLES CAME TO HIM

THE DISCIPLES ASK JESUS A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION:

MATTHEW 24:3  AND WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR {PAROUSIA} AND THE END OF THE AGE ?

MATTHEW 24:4 JESUS ANSWERED "WATCH OUT THAT NO ONE DECEIVES YOU.

MATTHEW 24:23 THEN IF ANY MAN SHALL SAY UNTO YOU, LO, HERE IS CHRIST, OR THERE BELIEVE IT NOT

WITHIN THE DISCOURSE BETWEEN CHRIST AND HIS DISCIPLES, CHRIST REVEALS THE MYSTERY OF THE INFINITE, TO THE FINITE

MATTHEW 24:26 WHEREFORE IF THEY SHALL SAY UNTO YOU, [DISCIPLES]

MATTHEW 24:27 FOR AS THE LIGHTNING COMETH OUT OF THE EAST, AND SHINETH EVEN UNTO THE WEST; SO SHALL ALSO THE {PAROUSIA} OF THE SON OF MAN BE.

MATTHEW 24:34 VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU [DISCIPLES], THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, TILL ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.

MY CHRIST DIDN'T DECEIVE HIS DISCIPLES, ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD, THE {PAROUSIA} TOOK PLACE AS THE INFINTE REVEILED IT TO THE FINITE,

IN THAT GENERATION!!!!!

HALLELUJAH, BE NOT DECIEVED WHEN MODERN BIBLE TEACHER SAY CHRIST IS HERE OR THERE

THE INFINITE IS ALREADY HERE IN HIS FULLNESS!!!

PRAISE THE LORD!

Is this it!!!

Hello Everyone,

When I begin to share my view about the Last Days/End Times in the Bible as a point referred to as the closing out of  Last days of the Old Covenant. People are often taken back by my statements, in their minds they think "How could they have been taught something wrong?" Almost everyone replies "IS THIS IT?" I will offer a few quick suggestions to peak some thought for your life. As you may be one struggling with the thought of the World not coming to an end anytime Soon.

Firstly, I would like to suggest that yes there has always has been a sect of people that have held to the view of Preterism to some extent or another. As I think about some of the history in church, did these that have died in the faith, sit around wondering " IS THIS IT?" Oh the JOYS that would have thrilled these believers if the pastor or leader that was over them would have taught them the Reality of this Everlasting KINGDOM. Perhaps the Pastor/Teacher may have not been exposed to such a teaching. Here in the 21st Century everyone of us has a Bible and a concordance. You don't have to be a teacher of Greek/Hebrew to see Matthew 24 the famous doom and gloom Chapter of the Bible is NOT speaking about the End of the World, Rather it is the End of the AGE.

I had an individual ask me the other day what exactly is the End of the AGE. This is a good thing, to ask a question. I accept personal inbox messages on Facebook about any question you may have. The End of the Age, the disciples Jesus spoke to in Matthew 24 knew the End was soon. The End of the Age means the close of the Old Covenant Age. You can study using Systematic Theology and start in the gospels and work you way through the epistles and study "THE END" that is what "THE END" refers to The End of the AGE. You may ask yourself," I thought the New Covenant started at the cross and that was the End of the Old Covenant Age." You are correct the New Covenant did start at the cross, the Old Covenant didn't disappear till after a 40yr. period.  Lets look at the underpinning of the New Testament writers for clarification, I would like to share a scripture with you:

Hebrews 8:13 (ESV) In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Looking at Hebrews 8:13 allows for clarity on the subject. I have a parable I like to use to get a clear picture of what the Bible shows of this Covenant overlap, it goes as follows. A body (Old Covenant dies at the Cross) and that body lays in state at a funeral home for everyone to view, then the body is put away for good, it vanishes. The temple was allowed to stand in Jerusalem for 40 yrs until God himself but it away, never to be rekindled again.

I know I haven't offered much explanation to your question "IS THIS IT?" I'll get to that now.

As I walk in the Reality that God has set up His Everlasting Kingdom as promised in Daniel 2:44, I come to grips with the Promises of God that have come to pass in my own life. God said in Hebrews 11:1 He that comes to God must first believe that He is and He is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek him. God has held to that Great Promise in my life. AMEN! He promised to remit my sins, and in fact He has done that as well. God has Promised to be My shield and Exceeding Great reward, many times My wonderful Lord and Saviour has shown up on the scene and Performed just as He said. I could testify of the Goodness of God all night as you probably could do as well. The long and short of it is that God has become my ALL in ALL (1 Cor. 15:28) Yes He is my ALL in ALL the End spoke of in 1 Cor. 15 is nothing other then the End of the AGE! That has come and passed.

If you ask your self "IS THIS IT?" Isn't "CHRIST IN YOU ENOUGH!!!" We no longer need to just HOPE, we have the PROMISED SEED INSIDE!

This blog is not just to be informational, but it is a story of my life and adventure with a LIVING GOD!  (Proverbs 4:7) YEA, WITH ALL THY GETTING GET UNDERSTANDING.

Have you a Hallelujah Good Sonday!

Matthew 16:27

Many people sit down and read the Bible as though it is a Universal document, when the truth is that it is Covenantal.

So they will see a passage such as this one in Matthew 16:27

"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works"

We will say see right there that God is going to bring the judgment to all.

Naturally we have not been taught to place the passage in its setting to Rightly Divide the meaning. When we start looking at the Bible as Covenantal ,we will see the light on this scripture.

So in the Old Testament, we have a Covenant established between God and a Physical nation, and in the New Testament we have a Covenant between God and a Spiritual nation.

Let’s look at this parable in Matthew 21:

V.33 landowner (God) who planted a vineyard (Nation of Israel)

V.34 he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

V.35 they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third

V.37 Last of all, he sent his son to them

V.39 so they took him; and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

That's a perfect parable speaking about the people of God in the Old Testament; God sent his Prophets to them but they rejected them and even killed them. So God loves his Covenant people so much, he sends his Son (Jesus) to them.

What did they do?

We know the answer!

1 Cor. 2:8 they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

This opening verse of Matthew 16:27 has to deal with a judgment of every man that was part of the Old Covenant.

Matthew 21:40-41 “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants? He will bring those wretches to a wretched end....."

Sounds like some judgment was coming someone’s way for dealing with God's vineyard so carelessly; as so for dealing with God's servants/Son so cruelly, this has been a little introduction to the end description to the passage.

Now I will do a little examination of the passage to show you the immanency of the passage. What I mean by that is when Jesus spoke this about a judgment coming upon every man, it was going to come soon and not 2,000 + years later.

Now to examine:

Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of man shall [MELLO] come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works"

This verse contains a very important Greek word (MELLO):
MELLO = which means about to, or be on the point of doing something.

So in reality the verse is saying God is at the point of doing, this Judgement

The accurate translation of Matthew 16:27 should be as follows:

"For the Son of man is ABOUT TO come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works"

Jesus made his point very clear to the audience present with him, in Matthew 16:28 because he says that some of THEM standing THERE, THEN, would not taste of death until they saw the Son of Man COMING in his Kingdom.

It really is beautiful how the Bible speaks through clarity, if we allow it to.

Looking at the text spoken of here, lets bounce it off one astounding statement almost Word for Word in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 22:12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done”

This judgment or reward could only be given to those who were once in Covenant with God, and in continuing with the time restraints within the book of Revelation.

Look at some of the time restraints on the Book of the Revelation (unveiling) of Jesus Christ.

Rev. 1:1 show unto his servant the things which must SHORTLY take place,

Rev. 1:3 for the time is AT HAND

Rev. 1:7 every eye shall see him and THEY [also] which PIERCED him

Rev 22:6 the things which must SHORTLY be done.

Rev. 22:7 Look, I am coming SOON!

Rev. 22:10 because the time is AT HAND.

Rev. 22:12 Look, I am coming SOON!

God IS NOT the author of confusion and I believe He made it plain in what he was going to do. The TIMING is clearly shown in him saying "I'm about to bring Judgment" and anyone can understand the message of the Book of Revelation; maybe not in every detail but the general message is quite easy to understand.

In closing, I would like to point out one last thing with

Matthew 21:43 Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit”

Anyone can look in history and see that this judgment on Old Covenant Israel took place in 70 C.E. This transition of reality of the Kingdom was exemplified at the Cross and given a tremendous sign of the Parousia of Christ in the temple being destroyed; again, in 70 C.E.

We are in, and walking about in the Spiritual Kingdom of God, being and bringing forth the Fruit of God.

May God Bless all as you continue your studies.

Matthew 16:28

I have been a Preterist for around 11yrs now. I started out in the Pentecostal church in 2000 when an individual handed me a tape by Rev. Larry Smith. Rev. Smith was an esteemed man of God in the UPC organization. He had written many wonderful Bible studies used by many in the movement the Bible Studies you many even own "Rightly Dividing the Word on the NEW BIRTH and GODHEAD." This cassette that Rev. Smith spoke of the things of Prophecy in a different manner than I had heard before. A passage that stuck out to me in the teaching was Matthew 16:28.

You may have never really stopped and considered exactly what this passage of scripture is saying.  There is a reason why a Pastor  wouldn't preach/teach on this scripture, he would have to tell a lie if he brought out this passage and didn't teach what Jesus was saying. I don't claim to know more than any man or be more connected to God I just LOVE Truth, not tradition.

In Mattthew 16:28 (ESV) Jesus [himself] says " Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." In the quoted passage Jesus tells the hearers the some standing there wouldn't die till Jesus come in his kingdom. In Mark 8:34 says "And having called near the multitude, with his disciples, he said to them" This is Marks account of the dialogue Jesus had with the MULTITUDE of people there when he made this statement. That is right Jesus said he would return in their lifetime. Make now mistake there is truth to Preterism, we aren't just pulling straws out of a hat and saying that sounds good, let confuse everyone. There are other passages Jesus said that he would return in the lifetime of the disciples but I only want to point out this one verse today.

This is just a small taste of the starting point that really go my wheels turning some 11yrs. ago, I hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears. Either Jesus returned or we have a failed Messiah, I like to believe Jesus as infallible and told the truth. Many don't want to face that perhaps they could be wrong concerning the second advent of Christ. When in fact Preterism still has its flaws but is growing toward Biblical accuracy as the studies continue.

God Bless!
